Job summary

Affirmative Portfolios in Centurion, Gauteng invites unemployed graduates aged 18–25 for a Facilities Management Intern (PWD) position on an 18-month contract. The role provides a monthly stipend of R8,000.

Required: Grade 12, a B degree or B-Tech Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture, certified copies of ID and transcript, CV and motivational letter; only applicants with a disability will be considered.

Qualifications

• Must be between 18 and 25 years old.
• Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Certified copy of B degree/ B-Tech Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Certified copy of your ID.
• Certified copy of Academic transcript.

• Your CV and motivational letter.
• Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in the field of the post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post previously.

Purpose of the role:

The Company is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience.

Applications are invited for the Facilities Management Intern Internship from unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 25.

Minimum Requirements: (All requirements are non-negotiable)

• Interior Design or Architecture

Work based exposure may include the following:

• Space planning principles and parameters
• Drafting of drawings including detailed working drawings
• Building codes and regulations, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
• Measuring premises, extracting information from drawings, simple building cost estimating.
• Drafting of documentation, specifications, finishing schedules, database collection, creation and upkeep of the database, elementary project management, drawing pivots and graphs using database information, etc.
