Job summary

Weir is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager for Isando, onsite. You will lead a multifunction maintenance team, ensure safety and compliance, and manage all aspects of facility upkeep from planning to execution.

The role requires a degree in engineering, GCC certification, and 5–10 years of industrial maintenance leadership experience in mining or heavy facilities. You will drive maintenance strategy, coordinate with contractors, control budgets, and advance asset reliability while

Qualifications

• Must have degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related technical qualification with maintenance management experience.
• GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) required and relevant GMR 2.1 competency.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety-first culture and contribute to zero-harm goals.
• Oversee facilities maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and critical systems (electrical/HVAC/plumbing/fire protection).
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and manage contractors to minimize disruption.
• Lead maintenance planning, KPIs, and budget control; manage shutdowns and resources.
• Implement maintenance strategies (preventive/predictive/corrective) to maximise asset life.
• Manage CAPEX projects from initiation to handover in line with policy.
