Placements24 is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance, safety and operational aspects of premises in Sandton. You will lead a team, coordinate repairs, and manage preventative programs in the Gauteng area.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building systems, proven leadership, and budget management skills, with a proactive approach to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or senior maintenance supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in budget management and vendor negotiation.
• Relevant certifications in facilities management or related technical field are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all building systems.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors; allocate tasks and monitor performance.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance activities; respond to urgent issues promptly.
• Manage facility budgets, including operating expenses, repairs and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building regulations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational aspects of their premises in Sandton . This role is critical for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained working environment for all staff and visitors. You will manage a team of maintenance personnel, coordinate repairs, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and manage budgets related to facility upkeep. This position requires a proactive leader with strong organizational and technical skills, adept at managing a diverse range of building services within the Gauteng area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural).
