Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their team in Soweto. The role covers design, construction, operation, and maintenance of surface facilities for oil and gas production, ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

You will oversee process design, equipment selection, and P&ID development, manage projects, and lead teams in delivering critical energy infrastructure with a focus on performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.

This role is responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of surface facilities associated with oil and gas production. You will ensure that facilities are safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sound, contributing to the overall success of production operations. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and engineering of upstream oil and gas production facilities, including separation, processing, and utilities systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the design, construction, and operation of oil and gas production facilities.
• Strong understanding of process design, equipment selection, and P&ID development.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
