Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their team in Soweto. The role covers design, construction, operation, and maintenance of surface facilities for oil and gas production, ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

You will oversee process design, equipment selection, and P&ID development, manage projects, and lead teams in delivering critical energy infrastructure with a focus on performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities engineering within upstream oil & gas.
• Design, construction, and operation of oil & gas production facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and engineering of upstream oil & gas production facilities.
• Manage construction and commissioning to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop maintenance strategies for production facilities.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams and external contractors.
