Job summary

Belmond Mount Nelson in Cape Town seeks an experienced F&B Supervisor to drive service excellence across the hotel''s dining venues, crafting unforgettable guest experiences with an attentive, knowledgeable team.

You will oversee bar operations, assist in hiring and training, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation while maintaining cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering exceptional customer service in Food & Beverages, in fast-paced settings.
• Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage offerings and service standards.
• Friendly, attentive demeanor with ability to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Strong communication to interact with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising the team.
• Ensure the highest service standards and quality in the F&B department.

• Assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising the team.
• Ensure the highest standards of service excellence and quality in the F&B department
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Bar, including opening and closing procedures, managing seating arrangements, and coordinating timely food preparation with the kitchen staff.
• Assist in the managing of F&B departments as required.
• Implement systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Experience providing exceptional customer service, handling Food & Beverages and working in a fast-paced environment
• Good Food & Beverage product knowledge
• Friendly and attentive demeanour, ability to answer questions, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive dining experience for our guests
• Strong communication skills to interact with the guest, as well as your fellow colleagues
