Job summary

Fairmont in Cape Town is seeking a Reservations-focused hospitality professional to deliver outstanding guest service and manage dining reservations using Opera PMS. You will coordinate with F&B outlets, respond to inquiries, and promote events to ensure memorable guest experiences.

The role requires strong English proficiency, prior reservations experience, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Hospitality Management qualification is strongly recommended.
• Previous experience in Reservations is required.
• Proficiency in English (verbal, written, reading).
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows applications.
• Proven ability to develop and nurture guest, colleague and supplier relationships.
• Experience with Opera PMS, Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate), TARS and DinePlan advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and engaging service to guests.
• Book and enter dining reservations using a computerised system.
• Maintain knowledge of all Food & Beverage outlets and menus.
• Promote in-house or upcoming F&B events.
• Coordinate with departments to communicate guest requests and celebrations.
• Answer phone and email inquiries promptly.
• Assist guests with information about hotel facilities.
