Job summary

Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! by Marriott Johannesburg Melrose Arch is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations in Randburg. The role ensures exceptional guest experiences, profitability, and compliance with health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive F&B management experience, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and a proven track record in delivering service excellence within a premium hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Supervises and manages employees; manages all day-to-day operations and understands employee positions to perform duties in their absence.
• Oversees all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations.
• Provides excellent customer service to all employees and guests.

Education
