Job summary

Rhodes University is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical studies. The role covers data transfer, mapping, and ensuring compliance with data protection laws, with engagement across labs, imaging, and real-world data sources.

In addition, you will develop tsDTA's and conduct UAT, while coordinating with external providers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (ECG, biomarkers, imaging).
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Define, set up, and ingest external data streams for studies.
• Coordinate data transfer, transfer agreements, and data structure.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to meet start-up timelines.
• Perform UAT and ensure data accuracy per specifications.
• Monitor data availability and resolve issues with providers.
