Job summary

Neptune is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trial protocols across South Africa.

You will liaise with data stakeholders, create Data Transfer Agreements, ensure data transfer frequencies, and perform UAT to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role supports data capture from labs, ECG, imaging, EHR, wearables and other real world data sources.

Qualifications

• Definition, setup and ingestion of External Data Streams per protocol.
• Deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and planning of setup activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to establish data transfer, ingestion and structure requirements.
• Create change requests for new test concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements (tsDTAs).
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements (monitoring, reporting).
• Liaise with external data providers to ensure alignment of tsDTA.
• Translate medical/scientific concepts into data mapping guidance.
