Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd in Cape Town is recruiting an Export Clerk to support export bookings, document handling, and coordination with shippers. The role demands punctuality, reliability, and strong communication skills to interact with parties at all levels.

The candidate should have maritime experience, NQF level 6, and be capable of accurate data processing and reporting under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF level 6 with maritime experience.
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to rules/regulations.
• Able to interact professionally with third parties at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Capture/export bookings on SOL in line with shippers' requirements.
• Broadcast notices to shippers for export matters (e.g., stack dates).
• Monitor bookings and vessel stacks.
• Complete preloading process for vessels.
• Receive and pass Shipping Instructions to Mapping division for data capture.
• Proofread and amend bill of lading data.
• Obtain shipping documents (cargo dues order/export bill of entry) from shippers.
• Maintain export rate of exchange and vessel sailing dates.
• Process invoices and forward to concerned parties.
• Follow up on payments.
• Print, stamp and release original bills of lading.
