Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking an Export Clerk to handle export bookings, notices to shippers, and preloading processes for vessels.

You will manage shipping instructions, bill of lading data, and related customs documents while coordinating with our Mapping division, and ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF level 6 with maritime exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process export bookings on SOL for shippers.
• Broadcast notices to shippers for export matters and stack dates.
• Monitor bookings, vessel stacks and preloading for voyages.
• Receive and pass Shipping Instructions to Mapping division for capture.
• Proofread and amend bill of lading data as required.
• Obtain shipping documents (cargo dues order, export bill of entry).
• Maintain export rate of exchange and vessel sailing dates.
• Process invoices and follow up on payments; print and release original BLs.

DUTIES
