Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an Export Clerk to manage export bookings, communicate with shippers, and handle documentation in a fast-paced office in Johannesburg. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work with third parties while meeting deadlines.

The successful candidate will coordinate with Mapping for data capture, review bill of lading data, and ensure timely processing of shipping documents and invoices.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF level 6 and Maritime experience.
• Attention to detail, strict adherence to rules and regulation.
• Good Interpersonal skills.
• Strong Computer skills and communication skills.
• Planning and organising skills.
• Professional Candidate to deal with third parties at all levels.
• Able to get to the office before 08h00 everyday (punctual, self-disciplined).
• Individual needs to be accountable and responsible under minimum supervision.
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Capture / processing of export bookings on SOL confirming to shippers.
• Broadcasting notices to shippers for export matters e.g. stack dates.
• Monitor bookings and vessel stacks.
• Complete preloading process for vessels.
• Receive and on pass Shipping Instructions to our Mapping division for data capture.
• Proofreading and amendments to bill of lading data.
• Obtaining relevant shipping customs documents (cargo dues order/export bill of entry) from shippers.
• Maintain export rate of exchange and vessel sailing dates.
• Process invoices and send them to concerned parties.
• Follow up on payments.
• Printing, stamping and release of original bill of ladings.
