Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Exploration Geochemist to join a dynamic team in Paarl, South Africa. You will design and manage geochemical sampling programs, analyze results, and integrate with geological data to target drill sites.

The role requires a Master’s in Geochemistry or related Earth Science, at least 5 years of mineral exploration experience, proficiency with ioGAS, GCDKit, and GIS, and strong communication skills for reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geochemistry, Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' mineral exploration geochemistry experience.
• Experience with geochemical data analysis software and GIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage geochemical sampling programs.
• Oversee collection, preparation, and analysis of samples.
• Interpret data using statistical methods and multivariate analysis.
• Integrate geochemical data with geological and geophysical data to guide exploration.
• Collaborate with geologists and geophysicists to refine strategies.
• Prepare geochemical reports and present findings to team and management.
