Placements24 is recruiting an Industrial Electrician for our client in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on safe, reliable electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls, and automation within a manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate has a trade certificate and at least five years of industrial experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. On-site work in Mahikeng requires a proactive, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3).
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Industrial Electrician in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems: HV/LV, power distribution, motor control, PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems and control systems.
• Troubleshoot faults in machinery, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and specs to guide work.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prevent failures and ensure efficiency.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure plant reliability.
• Respond to electrical emergencies to minimize downtime.
