Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering.
• 12+ years in surface mining operations, with ≥5 years in a senior management role.
• Expertise in open-pit mining methods, mine planning and production management.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mining equipment, maintenance strategies and fleet management.
• Proven leadership to manage large teams and drive performance.
• Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in mining context.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all daily mining operations, meeting production targets safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource extraction and reduce costs.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies are followed.
• Manage mine budget, capital expenditure, and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of mining professionals.
• Oversee maintenance and utilization of mining fleet and equipment.
