Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years culinary experience with at least 3 years in a sous chef or supervisory role.
• Experience in resort or hotel setting preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with inventory management and cost control systems.
• Creative flair and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering of ingredients to control costs effectively.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Contribute to menu development and creation of daily specials.
• Implement and enforce kitchen policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing kitchen budgets and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with F&B management to ensure seamless service for all events and dining experiences.
• Ensure efficient workflow and timely execution of orders during peak service times.
