Placements24 seeks an Executive Sous Chef for a premier hotel in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will support the Executive Chef across all kitchen operations, drive menu development, and mentor a skilled culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities include cost control, inventory management, hygiene compliance, and collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless events. The role offers a clear career path in a prestigious hotel group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a Sous Chef or senior role.
• Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team effectively.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, international cuisines, and presentation styles.
• Excellent understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa and available to work in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities
