Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Operations Manager to provide remote oversight for manufacturing operations, guiding on-site teams and driving efficiency, profitability, and lean initiatives.

The role requires data-driven decision making, budgeting oversight, and collaboration with site managers to implement best practices across multiple sites, including Bloemfontein. A senior leader with 10+ years in manufacturing is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• MBA preferred as an added qualification.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in Operations Management within manufacturing.
• Strong ability to lead and influence teams remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve objectives and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs across operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide remote guidance and support to on-site teams and site managers.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management for manufacturing operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process optimization.
