Placements24 is seeking a distinguished Principal Architect to lead our Mossel Bay office in the Western Cape. You will set the architectural vision, drive business development, and ensure design and project execution excellence for major developments.

With 15+ years of leadership in architecture, you will mentor multidisciplinary teams, manage large-scale projects, and shape the regional architectural landscape while working from our Mossel Bay offices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent and SACAP registration.
• 15+ years of experience in architectural practice with leadership roles.
• Proven track record in large-scale commercial, residential, or institutional projects.
• Expertise in BIM, project management software, and financial management.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for the architectural department.
• Lead the design and management of complex, high-value architectural projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop the architectural team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
