Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Architect in Klerksdorp to drive design direction and project execution. This senior role requires a visionary leader to manage complex projects from inception to completion and to shape client relationships across North West and beyond.

The successful candidate will oversee design teams, mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with codes and sustainability standards while delivering exceptional architectural quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice, with leadership experience.
• Registered Professional Architect with SACAP.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction methods, and project management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for major architectural projects, ensuring innovative and functional solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of architects, designers, and technicians, fostering collaboration.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for timely delivery.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure design compliance with building codes, standards, and sustainability principles.
