About the Role

Our client, a renowned luxury hotel group, is seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Executive Hotel Manager to oversee operations at their flagship establishment in Johannesburg, Gauteng . This is a pivotal role for a seasoned hospitality professional with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, and delivering unparalleled guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all hotel departments, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of service, quality, and safety. This position demands strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, banqueting, maintenance, and security departments. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue goals and optimize operational efficiency. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and addressing guest feedback promptly. Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performance to maximize profitability. Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team of hotel staff. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations. Foster a positive and productive work environment for all employees. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to drive business and enhance the hotel's reputation. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Act as a brand ambassador for the hotel and Our client.

Requirements

A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., General Manager, Operations Manager). Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and managing complex budgets in a luxury hotel setting. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, industry best practices, and emerging trends. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the demands of the operation in Johannesburg, Gauteng .
