Job summary

Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) seeks a high-level IT executive with 12–15 years of progressive IT experience, including senior leadership, to drive technology strategy in a mining-adjacent environment. You will oversee OT/SCADA/IIoT integrations, ERP initiatives (SAP preferred), cloud strategy, and data governance, while steering budgeting and vendor governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/IS/EE or equivalent.
• MBA/MSc or equivalent executive degree.
• Certifications in CISM, CISSP, CRISC, COBIT, ITIL, or TOGAF.
• Minimum of 12 to 15 years IT experience, including 5+ years at Senior Management/executive level.
• Proven track record in mining, heavy industry or capital-intensive sectors with OT/IT integration expertise.
• Extensive experience integrating OT/SCADA, C&I, IIoT and enterprise IT systems.
• Strategic oversight of ERP implementations (prefer SAP), cloud strategy, data governance, and big data architecture.
• Understanding of IT budget management (CAPEX/OPEX), vendor governance, and outsourcing strategy.

Job description

• - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• - Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc), or equivalent post-graduate executive degree
• - Professional certifications in CISM, CISSP, CRISC, COBIT, ITIL, or TOGAF.
• - Minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years operating at a Senior Management or Executive level within a medium-to-large corporate environment.
• - Proven track record in the mining, heavy industry, or capital-intensive sectors, with deep knowledge of operational technology and smart mining trends.
• - Extensive experience in integrating Operational Technology (OT), SCADA, Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Industrial IoT (IIoT), and enterprise IT systems.
• - Strategic oversight of enterprise ERP implementations (preferably SAP), cloud strategy, data governance, and big data architecture
• - Comprehensive understanding of IT budget management (CAPEX/OPEX), commercial negotiations, vendor governance, and outsourcing strategy.
