Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Banqueting Coordinator to manage and execute successful events in Welkom. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, proactive approach, and deep understanding of event planning and catering services to ensure every detail is flawless.

You will be the primary contact for clients from initial inquiry through to successful completion, coordinating with kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure smooth execution and high-quality client experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event coordination, banqueting, or hospitality management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with event planning software and tools is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, staffing needs, and logistical arrangements.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure smooth execution of banquets.
• Oversee on-site event setup, ensuring adherence to client specifications and venue standards.
• Manage event timelines, guest flow, and service delivery throughout the function.
• Address client needs and resolve any issues that may arise during events promptly and efficiently.
