Placements24 seeks an Events and Banqueting Coordinator in Port Elizabeth to plan and execute a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large banquets. You will work directly with clients to ensure flawless execution and uphold the venue's reputation for excellence in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in event planning, banqueting, or a related hospitality role.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A diploma or certificate in Event Management or Hospitality is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events, including venue setup, catering, audio-visual requirements, and staffing.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand event objectives, preferences, and budgets.
• Develop event proposals, timelines, and detailed operational plans.
• Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring seamless delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for event services.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback for continuous improvement.
