Placements24 is seeking an energetic Catering Team Leader to oversee event operations in Polokwane. The role combines on-site leadership with remote administrative duties, guiding a service staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will manage on-site logistics, ensure food safety standards, and coordinate setup to breakdown. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to ensure successful events.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in catering or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, setup, and safety regulations.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and manage remote admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct catering staff during events to ensure efficient service.
• Oversee setup and breakdown of event spaces, buffets, bars and seating.
• Be the on-site point of contact for clients and venue staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Hold pre-event briefings, assign roles, and ensure clarity of duties.
• Contribute to post-event reports and performance feedback.
