On Consulting (Pty) Ltd is recruiting a meticulous Vehicle Damage Estimator to manage digital assessments and costings for collision-damaged vehicles in Dubai. You will evaluate damage, prepare accurate estimates and negotiate approvals with insurance assessors to maximise profitability and minimize cycle times.

Role requires 3–5 years in a busy collision repair or motor claims environment, with proficiency in Audatex/Abuntex/Vantage and knowledge of OEM repair methods.

Formación

• 3–5 years experience as Estimator or Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA).
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Audatex/Abuntex/Vantage is compulsory.
• Strong understanding of vehicle structure, panel beating, painting and mechanical/electrical components.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with insurance representatives.
• Trade qualifications or VDA certification are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly meticulous and analytical Vehicle Damage Estimator (VDA) to manage the digital assessment and costing lifecycle of collision-damaged vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating vehicle damage, compiling highly accurate repair estimates, and negotiating approvals with insurance assessors. Your primary focus is to maximize job profitability and ensure absolute compliance with OEM repair methods while keeping vehicle cycle times to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Damage Assessment: Conduct physical and digital inspections of accident-damaged vehicles, identifying both apparent outer body damage and hidden structural or mechanical component failures.
• Accurate Cost Estimation: Utilize specialized industry estimating software to compile detailed, comprehensive cost breakdowns for labor, paint, materials, and replacement parts.
• Insurance & Assessor Liaison: Submit digital digital assessments, upload clear photographic evidence, and negotiate repair methods and costs directly with insurance company assessors to secure rapid authorizations.
• OEM Method Compliance: Research and integrate factory-approved repair methods (including high-strength steel welding protocols, ADAS calibrations, and structural pull steps) into every estimate.
• Supplemental Claims: Identify and document additional hidden damage discovered during the stripping stage, submitting prompt supplemental estimates to insurers to prevent production delays.
• Parts Collaboration: Work closely with the Parts Department to verify accurate component pricing, supersessions, and parts availability before finalizing job costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working as an Estimator or Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) within a busy, high-volume collision repair centre or insurance motor claims environment.
• System Mastery: Exceptional, high-level proficiency using estimating software such as [Audatex / Abuntex / Vantage] is compulsory .
• Technical Knowledge: A profound structural understanding of modern vehicle body construction, panel beating techniques, spray painting processes, and mechanical/electrical components.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to confidently negotiate scopes of work with insurance representatives.
• Education & Certifications: Grade 12 / Matric certificate minimum. Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., qualified Panel Beater) or formal VDA certifications are highly advantageous.
