Job summary

AUTORECRUIT is seeking a skilled Collision Estimator in South Africa, Gauteng. The role involves conducting thorough vehicle inspections, compiling repair estimates with Audatex and TMS, and managing quotations through to approval.

You will collaborate with managers, insurers, and workshops to ensure efficient signoffs, track repairs, and uphold high customer service standards throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Matric (Grade 12).
• Audatex training with certificate.
• Proven experience (2–5 years) in collision estimating or automotive damage assessment.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Audatex and TMS).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of panel beating, structural repairs, and spray painting processes.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret estimates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of damaged vehicles with customers.
• Use Audatex and TMS to compile accurate repair estimates.
• Submit quotations promptly to insurance assessors and follow up on approvals.
• Collaborate with Manager and insurers to secure quotation signoffs.
• Liaise with workshop to initiate and track approved repairs.
• Monitor job progress, perform quality control inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead, train, and support Junior staff.
• Ensure excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
• Communicate professionally with customers, insurers, and internal teams.
• Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to sales growth.
