Job summary

The Rank Group is seeking a mobile application developer to build and enhance gaming-related apps across iOS and Android. You will work with Dart/Flutter, and ideally React Native, contributing to features and performance improvements in a collaborative Agile environment.

You will engage in test-driven development, code reviews, and deployment tasks, while aligning with modern software engineering practices and the SDLC. A passion for gaming and community engagement is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mobile application development experience.
• Proficiency with Dart and Flutter; experience with React Native is a plus.
• Experience building apps for iOS and Android.
• Knowledge of Cubit/Bloc and other state management libraries.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies.
• Good knowledge of software engineering principles and the full SDLC.
• Coding standards aligned with DRY and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for gaming and the gaming community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates, designers and product managers to develop new features, write clean code, and optimize performance and UX.
• Resolve technical issues, participate in code reviews, and report status.
• Own assigned features and projects, apply creative thinking and ensure regular reviews.

MainAccountabilities & Responsibilities:

• You’llcollaborate withteammates,designersand product managers to develop new features, writing clean and efficient code, optimizing the application for performance and user experience.
• Your work includes resolving technical issues,participatingin code reviews and best practices, coordinating with other team members, reporting problems, and presenting status reports.
• You will take ownership of assigned features and projects,applyingcreative thinking,seekingguidance in unexpected situations, andensuringyour work is regularly reviewed.
• You will implement improvements in your own work area and contribute to team-level process enhancements, documentingchangesand their impact.
• You will also work closely with geographically distributed teams,participatingin agile planning meetings and stand-ups, and fixing any issues with existing work.
• This will also involve practicing test-driven development, performing testing on applications, and staying updated onnew technologytrends and frameworks.
• You will alsoassistin workflow management and deployment processes,participatingininternal and production releases under routine supervision.

What’sneeded for success – Experience & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in mobile application development
• Strongproficiencyin Dart, Flutter, Experience with React Native and other related technologies would be an added advantage
• Experience building mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms
• Knowledge of Cubit/Bloc and other state management libraries
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
• Good working knowledge of software engineering principles and the whole software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Coding standards aimed towards DRY and SOLID principles
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Passion for gaming and the gaming community
