You will conduct EIAs, develop EMPs/EMS, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise clients on environmental permitting. The role requires experience in SA environmental law and strong analytical/reporting skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related science.
• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting, compliance, or sustainability roles.
• Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
• Knowledge of environmental legislation (NEMA, MPRDA, EIA Regulations).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in environmental assessment software and MS Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the North West.

Aufgaben

• Conduct EIAs and Basic Assessments for new developments and operations.
• Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Systems (EMS).
• Advise clients on environmental legal compliance and permit acquisition.
• Conduct environmental site assessments and audits.
• Develop strategies for pollution prevention and control (air, water, soil).
• Assist with waste management planning and implementation.
• Prepare environmental reports, technical documents, and submissions.
• Provide training and awareness programs on environmental best practices to clients.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients on environmental matters in Mahikeng.
• Stay abreast of changes in environmental legislation and industry best practices.
