Job summary

Lanline Technologies is seeking a motivated IT Support Agent (Tier 1) to assist end-users with hardware and software issues. The role involves onsite support with travel between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, primarily based in Cape Town.

Fluency in English and Xhosa is required, along with basic IT knowledge, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. Driver's license is mandatory, and some remote support may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Set up new computers and ensure they are ready for end-users.
• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues or escalate as needed.
• Repair or replace damaged hardware and coordinate with IT specialists.
• Monitor systems and report on status to the team.
• Provide general IT support to users on-site and remotely when applicable.
• Maintain and update technical documentation with the IT team.
• Assist in testing new hardware and software before rollout.
• Travel to other branches to troubleshoot issues as required.
