West Wits Mining seeks an Enterprise and Supply Development Officer (ESD) to assist the ESD Consultant in developing and implementing ESD programmes that strengthen local businesses, promote sustainable procurement, and ensure compliance with the Mining Charter and SLP commitments.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects and Engineering to integrate ESG and responsible sourcing, identify local suppliers and SMMEs, monitor performance, budgets and KPIs, and prepare reports

Qualifications

• Matric plus relevant 1-year post-matric qualification is a minimum.
• National Diploma or Degree will be advantageous.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Minimum 1 year of administration experience.
• Experience in the Enterprise development environment is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assist the ESD Consultant in identifying, assessing, and developing local suppliers and SMMEs through mentorship, capacity building, and business support initiatives.
• Monitoring supplier performance, compliance, and governance against contractual, legal, and company requirements.
• Drive local procurement and supplier development in support of the Mining Charter, SLP and BBBEE requirements.
• Assist the ESD consultant to implement and monitor Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives that support ICMM Mining Principles and ESG commitments.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects and Engineering to integrate ESG and responsible sourcing into supplier development programmes.
• Identify, assess and develop local suppliers and SMMEs through mentorship, capacity building and business support initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance and governance against contractual, legal and company requirements.
• Build strategic partnerships with communities, government institutions, development agencies and funding partners.
• Monitor programme performance, budgets and key performance indicators, and prepare management and statutory reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards and applicable legislation.

About the role

The successful candidate will assist the ESD Consultant in developing and implementing Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programmes that strengthen local businesses, promote sustainable procurement, and ensure compliance with the Mining Charter, Social and Labour Plan (SLP) commitments, and the Company's transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the ESD Consultant to develop and implement Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programmes aligned to business, transformation and sustainability objectives.
• Assist the ESD Consultant in identifying, assessing, and developing local suppliers and SMMEs through mentorship, capacity building, and business support initiatives.
• Monitoring supplier performance, compliance, and governance against contractual, legal, and company requirements.
• Drive local procurement and supplier development in support of the Mining Charter, SLP and BBBEE requirements.
• Assist the ESD consultant to implement and monitor Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives that support ICMM Mining Principles and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects and Engineering department teams to integrate ESG and responsible sourcing principles into supplier development programmes.

• Monitor supplier performance, compliance and governance against contractual, legal and company requirements.
• Build strategic partnerships with communities, government institutions, development agencies and funding partners.

Education & Experience
