The role requires a strong quantitative background, expertise in energy market fundamentals, and proven experience in trading or analytical roles within the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of energy trading, market analysis, or quantitative analysis within the energy sector.
• Experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of energy market structures, pricing mechanisms, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-time market data, news, and indicators to identify trading opportunities in electricity, gas, and energy commodities.
• Develop, test, and refine quantitative trading strategies and models.
• Monitor market positions, P&L, and risk exposures, implementing hedging strategies as needed.
• Execute trades across energy markets with timely and accurate deal capture.
• Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and researchers to enhance trading performance.
• Prepare market reports, performance analyses, and trade summaries for management.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Conduct fundamental and technical analysis of energy markets.
