Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years in energy trading, commodity trading, or financial analysis in energy.
• Proven track record of profitable trading and strategy development.
• Strong understanding of energy market fundamentals and price drivers.
• Advanced data analysis and financial modeling with Excel VBA, Python or R.
• Experience with trading platforms and risk management systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management.
• Knowledge of SA energy markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze global and regional energy markets for trading opportunities.
• Develop and implement trading strategies based on market research and data.
• Execute trades across platforms, ensuring policy compliance.
• Conduct fundamental and technical analysis to inform decisions.
