Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Energy Trader to join our remotely located trading desk. You will manage and execute trades across electricity, natural gas, and related derivatives, aiming to maximize profits through market analysis and risk controls.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a quantitative field, brings at least 5 years of energy or commodity trading experience, and demonstrates a proven track record in volatile markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy trading or commodity trading.
- Proven track record of profitable trading in volatile markets.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, including fundamentals and regulatory landscapes.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in trading tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, news, and data to identify trading opportunities in energy commodities.
- Execute buy and sell orders across various trading platforms for electricity, natural gas, and related products.
- Manage and mitigate trading risks within risk limits and policies.
- Develop and refine trading strategies to optimize profitability and portfolio performance.
- Monitor open positions and market positions, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with risk management, operations, and analytics teams for seamless trading operations.
