• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy trading, commodity trading, or financial analysis.
• Proven experience in developing and executing trading strategies in volatile markets.
• Strong quantitative skills with expertise in statistical analysis and financial modeling.
• Deep understanding of the South African energy market, including regulatory frameworks and market participants.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze short-term and long-term energy market dynamics, including pricing, supply, and demand.
• Develop and implement effective energy trading strategies to achieve profit targets.
• Execute trades across various energy commodities and financial instruments.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement hedging strategies to mitigate market volatility.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and commercial teams to align trading activities with business objectives.
