Job summary

Seriti Green is seeking a technical energy analyst to manage wind, solar PV and BESS analysis from inception through construction. You will work with the Development and BD teams to shape projects, ensure bankable energy numbers, and coordinate site activities across the portfolio.

The role requires strong wind/BESS modelling, regional GIS capability, and the ability to travel across Africa. It offers exposure to hybrid project design and commercial tariff structuring within a growing renewable

Qualifications

• B.Eng or BSc(Eng) in Engineering.
• 3–5 years experience in generating wind energy assessments.
• Experience in modelling and optimizing BESS systems, including dispatch modelling against multiple revenue streams.
• Familiarity with South African electricity market, WEPS, Megaflex, wheeling and ancillary services.
• Exposure to hybrid project design (wind + BESS, solar + BESS) is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within Africa.

Responsibilities

• Provide wind turbine layouts and energy estimates for multiple projects.
• Ensure wind data and energy numbers are bankable for lenders.
• Conduct site visits for turbine and monitoring locations.
• Plan on-site services (monitoring campaigns, geotechnical work).
• Assist with development approvals (noise, visuals, mapping).
• Monitor on-site equipment and maintain systems.
• Provide GIS support and regional mapping.
• Lead BESS sizing, dispatch modelling and optimization for various configurations.
• Optimize BESS power, energy and duration against revenue streams.
• Develop dispatch strategies balancing revenue with warranties and degradation.
• Interface with BESS OEMs on specs and warranties.
• Build technical inputs to financial models including O&M and capex.
• Model interactions between renewable generation, BESS dispatch and grid connection.
• Generate energy profiles for pricing, PPA structuring and offtake.
• Support BD with tariff pricing and WEPS revenue modelling.
• Model aggregated portfolio profiles for energy products to off-takers.
• Contribute to technical narrative in proposals and information memoranda.
• Assess emerging technologies for relevance to Seriti Green’s pipeline.
• Provide strategic technical input to executives.
• Support development team as requested.
