Job summary

AltGen South Africa designs and manufactures lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS) and smart power management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial use. This role focuses on identifying and closing new business opportunities by understanding energy challenges and presenting complete energy solutions.

You will work face-to-face with customers, articulating solar and storage options, including PPAs, and collaborating with project teams to deliver tailored energy

Qualifications

• Approximately four to five years of energy-industry sales experience.
• Practical electrical knowledge and understanding of how energy solutions address costs and operational challenges.
• Ability to generate new business and sell directly to end customers; sector experience valuable.
• Self-starting, customer-focused approach with confidence discussing technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities across agriculture, mining, manufacturing and other energy-intensive sectors.
• Understand customers' electricity costs, power-quality challenges and infrastructure requirements.
• Work with client's technical and project teams to develop suitable solar and battery storage solutions.
• Present project solutions and funding options, including PPAs, and convert opportunities into sales.
• Build trusted customer relationships and coordinate internal support, maintaining the client as single point of accountability.
