Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dynamic Energy Storage Solutions Specialist to drive adoption and implementation of storage technologies in the Eastern Cape, based in Port Elizabeth. You will evaluate, design, and deploy BESS for grid stabilization, renewable integration, and industrial use, collaborating with clients, engineering, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy storage or renewable energy.
Solid understanding of battery chemistries, power conversion, and grid integration principles.
Experience with system design, project management, and site installation supervision.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for energy storage.

Responsibilities

Assess client needs and technical requirements for energy storage systems.
Design and engineer BESS configurations, including component selection and system integration.
Develop technical proposals, cost estimates, and project timelines for storage solutions.
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and performance testing of BESS installations.
Stay current with advancements in battery technology, power electronics, and control systems.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
