Placements24 in East London, Eastern Cape, ZA is seeking an Information Security Analyst specializing in Endpoint Security. You will deploy and manage EDR, antivirus, and DLP, monitor threats, and respond to incidents to protect corporate endpoints.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT teams in a modern office environment. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in information security, strong knowledge of Windows/macOS/Linux, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in information security, with a focus on endpoint security.
• Hands-on experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black).
• Familiarity with antivirus, anti-malware, and data loss prevention (DLP) technologies.
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network protocols.
• Experience with security logging and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or vendor-specific endpoint security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions (e.g., EDR, antivirus, DLP).
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and events for suspicious activity.
• Investigate and respond to endpoint security incidents and threats.
• Perform regular health checks and tuning of endpoint security agents.
• Develop and maintain policies and configurations for endpoint security tools.
• Assist in the development of incident response playbooks for endpoint-related incidents.
• Provide technical support and guidance on endpoint security best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging endpoint threats and security technologies.
• Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure consistent endpoint security across the organization.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives related to endpoint security.
