Placements24 is seeking an Endpoint Security Specialist to protect end-user devices in Polokwane. You will deploy NGAV/EDR, configure host-based firewalls, and ensure devices follow security policies.

You will monitor endpoint threats, investigate alerts, and perform incident response for endpoint-related issues, while developing and enforcing security policies for laptops, mobile devices, and workstations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of endpoint security experience.
• Hands-on with EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black).
• Strong OS security knowledge (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Scripting or automation experience is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting for endpoint security issues in Polokwane.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimize NGAV and EDR platforms.
• Monitor endpoint activity and perform incident response.
• Develop and enforce security policies for endpoints.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and patch management.
• Provide technical support to users on endpoint security.
• Stay updated on threats and recommend countermeasures.
