Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Events Co-ordinator for an upmarket estate near Franschhoek. The role requires strong decision-making, communication, initiative and attention to detail, with prior experience in coordinating weddings, corporate events and celebrations.

Minimum requirements include an events management qualification and 3-5 years’ experience, plus stock control, staff management and supplier liaison capabilities. Own transport and residency in the Winelands area are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating large scale weddings, corporate events and celebrations.
• 3-5 years’ experience in events coordination.
• Must have good organisation and communication skills.
• Experience with stock control and staff management and supplier liaison.

Responsibilities

• Client Liaison: Receiving enquiries and sending out packages and information.
• Site Visits and information gathering to build initial quotes for sign off by Events Manager.
• Assisting Events Manager in obtaining quotations for procurement.
• Overseeing venue items and stock control and informing maintenance of issues.
• Set up and strike oversight of suppliers and assist with venue setup.
• On the day operations assistance of the actual event and liaison with outside co-ordinators.
• Assistance with operations at estate events.
