Job summary

Mototeam (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Automotive Car Sales professional for a franchise dealership in Gauteng. You will drive new, used, demo and commercial vehicle sales while building lasting relationships with customers and ensuring service excellence across all touchpoints.

You have at least 3 years in franchise dealership sales, solid knowledge of F&I offerings, and a clear criminal/credit record. A relevant diploma is preferred; bilingual skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years automotive car sales experience at a franchise dealership.
• Solid understanding of both new and used vehicle sales, aftersales operations, and F&I offerings.
• Strong grasp of key financial drivers and performance metrics relevant to dealership operations.
• A relevant National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent is preferred; a Business Management qualification would be advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of FICA, FAIS, POPIA, and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
• Proficient in MS Office and dealership-related systems.
• Familiarity with CMS or similar Dealer Management Systems (DMS) is essential.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional local language will be an advantage.
• Must have a clear criminal and credit record, subject to standard verification checks.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near area, for ease of access to the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Sell the maximum number of new, used, demo and commercial vehicles.
• Manage client relationships through effective use of the lead and data management system (CMS).
• Contribute to the planning and execution of sales strategies that drive dealership growth and profitability.
• Consistently achieve and exceed new vehicle sales targets.
• Support the performance of Parts, Service, and F&I departments by aligning with dealership-wide goals.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to support a culture of service excellence.
• Strive to exceed customer expectations by ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service standards across all touchpoints.
• Monitor and track key CMS performance metrics, including lead management, online traffic platforms (OTPs), finance applications, test drives and demo bookings, deal closures and closing ratios, lost deal analysis, quality of deal files, and SSI and other customer feedback indicators
