Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector for their George, Western Cape operation in a fast-paced automotive components environment. You will ensure products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications before dispatch, contributing to product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key duties include inspecting materials, using calipers, micrometers and gauges, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector in manufacturing or automotive sectors.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must reside in or be willing to commute to George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions against specs.
• Document results and report non-conformities.
• Collaborate with production to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Provide feedback on quality performance to production staff.
• Keep the inspection area clean and organized.
