Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Port Elizabeth manufacturing plant. You will maintain and repair industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maximise efficiency, performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring safety consciousness. You will read blueprints and schematics, log maintenance activities, and ensure production continuity through reliable repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair issues.

About the Role
