Qualifications

• Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools.
• Pr. Eng. designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design, procurement and construction phases of renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind).
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, load calculations, cable sizing and equipment specs.
• Oversee BOS components selection including inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and international codes for electrical designs.
• Coordinate with grid authorities and interconnection requirements.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources for electrical scopes.
• Supervise site electrical activities with safe work practices.
• Review contractor submissions and proposals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and commissioning.
