Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in electrical power systems engineering (utility sector preferred).
• Experience with power system analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical power distribution systems (substations, feeders, equipment).
• Perform power flow, short-circuit, and load forecasting studies with specialized software.
• Develop protection schemes and coordinate protective relays for the distribution network.
• Plan and oversee upgrades and refurbishment of electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with SA utility standards, safety regulations, environmental policies.
• Investigate power quality issues and implement system performance improvements.
• Collaborate with field teams, contractors, and stakeholders on project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Respond to network disturbances and provide technical support during emergencies.
