Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a mining operation in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on maintaining heavy mining equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing preventative maintenance to keep operations safe and productive.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Technician with extensive experience in maintaining industrial or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control circuits, PLCs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic software.
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Safety-conscious and physically fit for demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex electrical maintenance and repair on mining machinery, including heavy-duty vehicles, conveyor systems, and processing equipment.
