Job summary

MyCareerCraft in Port Elizabeth is seeking a hands-on Section Manager to take charge of a busy manufacturing section, overseeing machines and people to meet targets and priorities.

You will own production output, drive maintenance to minimize downtime, coach a team of three Shift Supervisors, manage budgets and waste, and ensure safety and compliance across operations.

A solid engineering background and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• NQF 5 technical/engineering certificate + trade test preferred.
• Diploma or degree in engineering is a bonus.
• Up to 10 years in electrical production/operations, including ~5 years supervising a team.
• Solid MS Office skills and a good grip on production/maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Owning production output and performance in your section.
• Keeping maintenance on track so downtime stays low.
• Leading a team of 3 Shift Supervisors - coaching, reviewing, developing.
• Managing budgets, costs, and reducing waste.
• Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Making sure everything runs safely, compliantly, and by the book.
