Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their established maintenance department in East London, Eastern Cape. You will diagnose electrical issues, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and oversee projects to improve reliability and efficiency across facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, proven engineering experience, and strong knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and power distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, PLCs, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• On-site work in East London with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance plans for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Oversee electrical maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
